‘“Hamilton” dominated the 2016 Tony Awards nominations, nabbing a record 16 nods for the 70th annual awards ceremony.

“The Book of Mormon” alums Nikki M. James and Andrew Rannells announced the nominees for the Tony Awards on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. ET live from the Diamond Horseshoe at the Paramount Hotel in New York City.

Productions that opened on or before April 28 are eligible for the Tony Awards’ 24 competitive categories.

Emceed by Tony Award winner and “The Late Late Show” host James Corden, the Tonys will air June 12 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS — live from the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Corden starred in the 2006 hit, “The History Boys,” with Dominic Cooper and Russell Tovey, and in “One Man, Two Guvnors” in 2012.
